ABOUT: In September 2020, APPex’s annual conference–the Advanced Practice Provider (APRN & PA) Leadership Summit–was forced to pivot to a virtual/online environment for the first time in 13 years due to an unprecedented global pandemic (COVID-19) which made it unsafe for travel and large gatherings (e.g., non-essential conferences). While months of planning had to be re-done, a positive opportunity from the process of developing and preparing to host virtual sessions arose: the ability to continue delivering valuable advanced practice administrative and leadership content that was easily accessible and offered more frequently.

Mini-conferences are one (1) full day virtual/online sessions that are offered quarterly on the first Fridays in March, June, and December and assemble the same great speakers and presentations as the live, in-person annual summit in mid-September. Each mini-conference features a leading organization regarding its advanced practice infrastructure, operations, APRN & PA utilization, and/or innovation. They are designed to be a continuation of the forum, networking, community-building, and sharing/learning about advanced practice administration and leadership from colleagues across the U.S. that so many have meaningfully and positively experienced attending the annual summit.
