Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is seeking two Advanced Practice Directors for leadership positions within the Department of Professional Practice. These new leaders will provide leadership and direction in the development of advanced practice provider programs and advanced practice education programs.
Director, Advanced Practice Education:
The Advanced Practice Education Director provides leadership while meeting the educational and informational needs of new advanced practice (AP) employees, experienced providers, and advanced practice students. The Director assists advanced practice providers to demonstrate and validate competency in required advanced practice privileges. The Director collaborates with advanced practice providers, staff, and leaders to initiate and manage successful change, assisting to translate evidence based practice into improvements and safe, high quality care for patients and families.
Director, Advanced Practice Programs:
The Advanced Practice Program Director supports the professional development of advanced practice providers throughout the organization. The Director develops, implements, and strengthens the programs necessary for advanced practice provider success and professional development. Collaborating with key stakeholders, internally and externally, the Director creates and sustains programs to support the professional development of advanced practice providers as clinicians, preceptors, mentors, educators, and leaders. The Director is responsible for the Advanced Practice Professional Credentialing Program.
