"...representatives from council have met with Western Health several times on this matter and, while they are willing to give the new model a try, the ideal would be to have a full-time family doctor in addition to the nurse practitioner.
'This model with a nurse practitioner is a good building block for us to start and seems to be working in other areas, but I'm sure there are doctors that would come to live and work in our town,' [Mayor Danny Conway] said."
